Here’s another 320kb 90’s anime CD rip, this time it’s my copy of the Animage Special CD that crosses over Akihabara Dennou Gumi with Shoujo Kakumei Utena. This CD was recorded to promote the two series films, which were released in cinemas together on August 14th 1999. It’s quite brief in length and doesn’t provide anything essential to your enjoyment of either series/movie but it’s still quite fun.

Hibari, Suzume and a reluctant Tsubame go in search of a prince they hear is at a local school. Turns out that school is Ohtori and that prince, much to their surprise, is Utena. Hijinks ensue. My favourite gag is probably the characters being confused about each other’s ages (a not-so-subtle nod re: their character designs).
